HotelTonight, a San Francisco, CA-based last-minute mobile hotel booking app, has raised $23m in Series C funding.
The round was led by U.S. Venture Partners (USVP), with continued participation from Accel Partners, Battery Ventures and First Round Capital.
The company intends to use the capital to:
– expand its team, hiring professionals in development, sales, marketing and customer service, and its international presence, following its April launch in Canada.
– drive product innovation with a focus on improving the user experience, making the booking process faster and more personalized.
Led by CEO Sam Shank, HotelTonight is a booking app made-for-mobile. Available in the App Store and on Google Play, it is present in over 40 US cities, Toronto and Vancouver.
In conjunction with the funding, Rick Lewis, a general partner at USVP, has joined the company’s board.
