Nanoflex, a Daresbury, UK-based company that manufactures nanoscale electrodes on a commercial basis, has received a significant investment from The North West Fund for Venture Capital, managed by EV.
The amount of the financing was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the capital to develop a range of new products and accelerate the global sales process.
Founded in 2008 at Daresbury Science and Innovation Park by Dr Neville Freeman and Dr Amy Farrington, Nanoflex offers proprietary electrode designs and architectures to meet the most demanding electrochemical applications.
The technology, which is already being sold into the chemistry research market, could have a significant impact in fields ranging from medical diagnostics and environmental testing to energy storage.
