Nic + Zoe, a US manufacturer of women’s apparel, has received a minority investment of undisclosed amount from growth equity firm Raptor Consumer Partners (RCP).
Nic + Zoe will leverage the marketing, branding, advertising, and design expertise of RCP’s creative agency, LIPMAN, to further develop and expand its brand presence.
In conjunction with the transaction, John Burns, Managing Director at Raptor, has joined the company’s Board of Directors.
Founded in 2005 by Kent Spellman, Dorian Lightbown and Jane Dunning, Nic + Zoe has built a business catering to the underserved population of 35+ female shoppers seeking timeless apparel options. The brand is currently available in Nordstrom department stores as well as more than 800 specialty retailers nationwide.
