Shoes of Prey, a Sidney, Australia-based website that allows users to design, buy and share shoes, has secured $3m in its first funding.
Backers include CrunchFund, Bill Tai, and Mike Cannon-Brookes.
The company intends to use the capital to develop key initiatives, including innovating social shopping functionalities, broadening retail presence, expanding product array with new options each month, and driving in-person experiences.
Co-founded in 2009 by Jodie Fox, Shoes of Prey allows women to design bespoke shoes using a proprietary web- based 3D design platform. Products are designed entirely online – via computer, smartphone or tablet, handmade using premium leathers and received anywhere in the world in around two weeks.
