Avere Systems, a Pittsburgh, PA-based developer of NAS Optimization solutions, has raised an additional $20m in Series C funding.
The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors Menlo Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners and Tenaya Capital.
This brings the total amount raised by the company to date to $52m.
The company intends to use the funding to advance the market penetration of its FXT Series Edge filers, which are an integral building block for an Edge-Core architecture for NAS.
Led by Ron Bianchini, President and CEO, Avere Systems brings to the market NAS Optimization solutions designed specifically to scale performance and capacity separately and take advantage of new storage media using real-time tiering.
