Hostnordic, an Aarhus, Denmark-based web hosting and IT outsourcing company, has received a majority equity investment from VIA Venture Partners and retail investor Christian Winther.
Following the transaction, whose amount was not disclosed, previous owners Christian Beer and Nicolai Pedersen remain shareholders in the company. Christian Winther will become Executive Chairman of Hostnordic.
The company intends to use the proceeds from the investment to consolidate its market position.
Founded in 2006, Hostnordic provides more than 3,000 Scandinavian customers with web hosting and IT outsourcing services based on Microsoft.
