Twist, a San Francisco, CA-based developer of an iPhone app that allows family, friends and colleagues to each other know when they will arrive at a location, has closed a $6m Series A venture funding.
Backers include Bridgescale Partners and individuals Eric Hahn, Bill Lee, Mike Belshe, and Jeff Skoll.
Co-founded by CEO Bill Lee and CTO Mike Belshe, Twist uses GPS and traffic information to make going places and meeting up with people social and fun by notifying others the user’s estimated time of arrival (ETA).
The company, which has just launched its app on the iTunes app store, is currently hiring.
