CloudPhysics Raises $2.5M in Series A Funding

CloudPhysics, a San Mateo, CA-based provider of datacenter analytics services for virtualized infrastructures, has raised $2.5m in Series A funding.

Backers include the Mayfield Fund and angel investors Diane Greene and Mendel Rosenblum, Mark Leslie, Ed Bugnion, Peter Wagner, Carl Waldspurger, and Matt Ocko.

Founded by and John Blumenthal, CEO, Irfan Ahmad, VP Engineering, Jim Kleckner, VP Operations, Xiaojun Liu, Chief Scientist, CloudPhysics combines big data science with resource management and simulation to provide virtualization administrators and architects with detailed real-time analytics about their physical infrastructure and specific application workloads.
