Liqvid, a Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India-based online learning solutions company specializing in English language training technology, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding.
SBI Ven Capital, the investment arm of SBI Holdings in Japan, made the investment.
The company intends to use the capital to continue to grow in India and abroad penetrating into the school market with its EnglishEdge Portable Language Lab.
Led by CEO Vivek Agarwal, LIQVID provides technology-aided English Learning & Training (ELT) solutions to individuals and organizations under the brand name of EnglishEdge, which offers its services on PCs, Tablets and Mobiles.
It has more than 250,000 learners across schools, colleges, vocational institutes and the corporate sector.
Customers include Pinegrove School, Kimberley International School, Shemford Schools, Delhi Public Schools, IIT Delhi, I.P. College for Women (D.U), Jamia Millia, Haryana Agricultural University, Allahabad University, Indian Military Academy, British Council, Educomp, HCL, Career Launcher, Jetking, Frankfinn, Future Learning, Centum, Cairn, Kuoni and IIJT.
In conjunction with the funding, Brijesh Pande, board member at SBI Ven Capital, will join LIQVID’s board.
