Nanotether Discovery Services Limited, a Cardiff, UK-based pharmaceutical research technology company, has raised up to £2.2m in funding.
The round was led by Andrew Black, with participation from Fusion IP (AIM: FIP), whose shareholding is 21%.
The company intends to use the funding, which are to be made available in three tranches, the first stage of which is £850k due immediately, for technology development over the next 27 months.
Based on the invention of professors Trevor Dale, Adrian Harwood and Paola Borri from the Cardiff University School of Biosciences, Nanotether develops high throughput quantitative binding assays for the protein interaction market.
