Ubiquisys, a Swindon, UK-based developer of 3G and LTE intelligent small cells, has raised $19m in funding.
Backers include new investors Mobile Internet Capital and Nissay Capital, and existing investors 5CCG/Sallfort Privatbank AG, Accel Partners, Advent Venture Partners, Atlas Venture and Yasuda.
The company intends to use the capital to accelerate delivery of innovative tri-mode 3G/LTE/WiFi small cell hotspots.
Led by Chris Gilbert, CEO, Ubiquisys provides its intelligent 3G and LTE small cells to more than 70 operators around the world. Its small cell range includes public access hotspots, self-organizing networks for enterprise, modular residential small cells and satellite-linked small cells for remote locations.
