CrossFiber Inc., a San Diego, CA-based developer and manufacturer of photonic switches that enable novel architectures in data centers and next-generation telco fiber optic networks, has completed the final tranche of a (now amounting to) $13.4m Series D funding.

The round was led by Southern Cross Venture Partners, with participation from New Venture Partners, Arsenal Venture Partners and existing investors Back Bay Management and PacifiCap.

The company intends to use the capital for rapid expansion of manufacturing capacity.

Led by Hus Tigli, President & CEO, CrossFiber develops and manufactures photonic switches, based on proprietary technologies which combine 3D MEMS micro-mirrors on silicon, non-invasive beam steering (NIBS), and custom ASICs. The systems are suitable across all major applications in data centers and telco fiber optic switching.
