SumZero, a NYC-based global community of hedge fund, mutual fund, and private equity professionals, has received an investment from Winklevoss Capital.
The firm created by Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, who became famous for their Facebook fight, is reportedly putting $1m into the company founded by Divya Narendra and Aalap Mahadevia.
Incepted in 2008, SumZero is based on a reciprocity-based model and members have to share certain pieces of information in order to draw from the intellectual product of about 7,500 members. According to the website, SumZero has nearly every well-known fund represented in its userbase.
The platform also enables subscribers to build a track record, expand their networks, and identify additional professional opportunities within the industry.
