Woofound, a Baltimore, MD-based developer of social web and mobile products, has raised $1m in funding.
Backers include Maryland Technology Development Corporation.
The company intends to use the capital to further develop its Career Application, which matches students to career options, classes, clubs and other campus activities based on their personality.
Woofound is piloting the application with University of Maryland Baltimore County and Towson University.
Founded in 2011 by Joshua Spears and Daniel Sines, the company currently offers a free iPhone app that uses a signature visual personality game to match people to places and things to do based on their personality and preferences.
