ZANDO, a Cape Town, South Africa-based fashion e-commerce retailer, has received an investment from J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
The investor, which will take a stake in ZANDO through its German holding company, will help the company increase its portfolio of products and continue to grow its e-commerce presence in South Africa.
Co-founded by managing directors Manuel Koser and Peter Allerstorfer, Zando currently offers hundreds of brands and thousands of styles selected from South African and international fashion houses.
Launched in January 2012 with a staff complement of 4 people, ZANDO today employs more than 200 people and is continuing to hire (http://www.zando.co.za/careers/).
