The Faction Collective, a Verbier, Switzerland-based provider of ski equipment and apparel, has raised $3m in funding.
Backers include Octopus Investments, Swiss-based angel group Go Beyond and other unnamed angel investors.
The company intends to use the capital to expand its range of skis and other products, invest further in technology development and increase awareness.
Co-founded in 2006 by CEO Alex Hoye and Tony McWilliam, Faction has developed a full line up of skis and accessories for winter sports produced in the EU and distributed across North America and Europe.
In conjunction with the investment, Octopus’ Simon Andrews, , has joined the company’s board as a non-executive director.
