ItsOn, Inc., a Redwood City, CA-based provider of smart mobile services, has secured $15.5m in Series B funding.
The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from SV Angel and an investor group led by Jim Davidson.
Co-founded by wireless and networking industry pioneers CEO Dr. Greg Raleigh and Charles Giancarlo, ItsOn provides 3G and 4G wireless consumers and enterprise business managers with complete, real-time visibility and control over their voice, text and more importantly, data usage.
The platform offers service customization features for both mobile operators and service providers.
It aims to enable businesses to provide services targeted to specific user demographics and device types with minimal development time, and mobile partners to strengthen brand awareness, improve targeted app placement and their app service sponsorship.
ItsOn has been in stealth since 2008. The company’s mobile services will be available to consumers and businesses in the US and globally starting next year. Previous investors in the company include Vodafone Ventures and Verizon Investments.
