Scale Computing, an Indianapolis, IN-based provider of integrated IT infrastructure for small to medium-sized organizations, has closed a $12m Series D funding.
The round was led by Heron Capital Venture Fund, with participation from new investor Reservoir Venture Partners and existing investors Allos Ventures, CID Equity Capital, Spring Mill Venture Fund, Northgate Capital, Benchmark Capital Partners and Scale Venture Partners.
The company intends to use the capital to further grow new “datacenter-in-a-box” product HC3, to continue product development and launch a new partner program later this year.
Led by Jeff Ready, CEO, Scale Computing develops scale-out clustered IT infrastructure products for small to medium-sized organizations based on its patented ICOS [Intelligent Clustered Operating System] technology. The company is now launching a hyperconverged architecture, HC3, which aims to integrate storage, servers and virtualization into a scalable infrastructure. Designed specifically built for the midmarket (first-time virtualizers and small IT departments), HC3 eliminates the need to purchase virtualization software, external servers, and shared storage.
The company has offices in San Mateo, CA and London, UK.
