Tradesy, a Santa Monica, CA-based startup that builds peer-to-peer marketplaces for women who buy, sell, and trade fashion from their closets, has received a $1.5m in seed funding.
Backers include Rincon Venture Partners, 500 Startups, Dany Levy (DailyCandy), Daher Capital, Bee Partners, Double M Capital and Launchpad LA (which incubates the company).
Developed by Recycled Bride’s Tracy DiNunzio, Tradesy.com allows women to buy, sell, and trade clothing and accessories. The service also makes it easy to handle returns, packaging, and shipping.
The company intends to use the capital to expand the business.
