Acquia, a Burlington, MA-based company that helps enterprises manage Drupal, has completed a $30m financing.
The round, which brings the total amount raised by the company to $68.5m was led by new investor Investor Growth Capital, with participation from Goldman Sachs and Accolade Partners and current investors North Bridge Venture Partners, Sigma Partners, and Tenaya Capital.
In conjunction with the funding, Jose Suarez from Investor Growth Capital has also joined Acquia’s Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the new financing round to accelerate its sales and marketing efforts, continue its international expansion across Europe and Asia Pacific and bring unified content, community and commerce solutions to market.
Led by Tom Erickson, CEO, and Dries Buytaert, CTO, Acquia helps customers manage the growth of their online properties through:
– Acquia Cloud, which is a global Drupal cloud hosting provider that operates in four continents;
– Acquia Insight, an application analysis suite that performs real-time assessment of the performance and security of Drupal applications.
Customers include Twitter, Warner Music Group, Humana, Stanford University, Mercedes-Benz and MTA.
