InboundWriter, a San Mateo, CA-based developer of an online content optimization system for writers, has raised $2.5m in new funding.
Backers include Castile Ventures, Rho Canada Ventures, Formative Ventures, The Entrepreneursā Fund III, and Crosslink Capital.
The company intends to use the capital to accelerate its expansion into the enterprise market.
Led by newly appointed CEO Skip Besthoff, who has taken the top post after being a board member and investor in the company via Castile Ventures, InboundWriter develops cloud-based software that incorporates real-time information gathered from the web to automate the process of optimizing online content. It naturally integrates tailored best practices and deep insights directly into the writing process.
The company has just released its new Enterprise tier online content optimization software for content producers.
