.406 Ventures Closes Second VC Fund at $175M

Boston, MA-based .406 Ventures has closed its second venture capital fund, at just over $175m.

Point 406 Ventures II, L.P. was supported by existing investors along with new commitments from other institutional investors including endowments, foundations, public and private pensions and family offices.

Formed in 2006 by Founding General Partners Liam Donohue, Larry Begley, Maria Cirino .406 Ventures is typically the lead, first institutional investor, in early-stage and de novo investments in innovative IT security and infrastructure, with a particular focus on healthcare IT, Big Data, cloud and mobile software companies.

The fund will continue to focus on companies operating in these fields.

.406 Ventures is also led by Principals Graham Brooks and Greg Dracon.
