Nara Logics Inc., a Cambridge, Mass.-based personal Internet platform that automates, personalizes, and curates the Web for people, has raised an additional $3m in funding.
The round, which brings the total amount raised by the company this year to $7m (read here about the previous funding), was led by existing investor Account Management, LLC (AMC).
Founded in 2010 and led by Thomas Copeman, CEO, and Nathan Wilson, CTO, Nara aims to minimize time searching and help people discover new experiences tailored to their tastes. It currently analyzes over 250,000 restaurants, coffee shops, bars and cafes in 25 top cities in the U.S. and Canada and uses an algorithm to simplify this map into personalized recommendations. The Nara Neural Network is comprised of millions of connections among these venues.
The company is now using the new funds to extend the Nara platform for both Web and Mobile and to continue hiring skilled people, expand in North America, grow into new markets, extend into other consumer categories, and further develop and scale the Nara Neural Network.
