Pluribus Networks, a Palo Alto, CA-based developer of hardware-accelerated network virtualization solutions for private and public cloud datacenters, has raised a $23m Series C funding.
The round was led by Menlo Ventures, with participation from existing investors New Enterprise Associates, Mohr Davidow Ventures and others.
The company, which closed a $17.5m Series B round in April of 2011, intends to use the capital to expand adoption of their systems.
Founded in 2010 by Sunay Tripathy, CTO, Robert Drost, CEO, C.K. Ken Yang, VP of Product Engineering, Pluribus Networks provides the Pluribus Networks Netvisor®, a programmable, distributed network operating system that runs on thier optimized Server-Switch™ hardware. Netvisor provides a platform for fabric-based computing that enables applications to move into the network, and to serve both physical and virtual network infrastructure. The Pluribus Networks Netvisor® solution is currently available to select customers on the Pluribus Networks F64 Series platform.
