Transcriptic, a Menlo Park, CA-based biotech company, has raised $1.2m in seed funding.
Backers include Google Ventures, FF Angel, Mark Cuban, Naval Ravikant, and other investors, who joined via SecondMarket and AngelList.
Founded by Max Hodak, Transcriptic provides a SaaS virtualization platform that allows smaller laboratories to automate various operations including assembling plasmids online. All products are completely sequenced and guaranteed to be 100% accurate for labs’ target sequence.
