Care Thread, a Providence, RI-based provider of mobile messaging and team-based collaboration solutions that allow hospital providers to improve communications and productivity across care teams, raised $750k in seed funding.
Backers included the Slater Technology Fund, which committed $250k.
The company intends to use the funding to advance the development and commercialization of its mobile messaging solution.
Led by co-founder and CEO Dr. Scott Guelich, Care Thread delivers a HIPAA-compliant mobile messaging solution that provides every member of the care team with real-time information detailing a patient’s status and treatment, as well as a suite of collaboration tools to promote improved teamwork, care coordination and patient safety while reducing time to discharge.
