FireEye, Inc., a Milpitas, CA-based provider of innovative threat protection solutions, has raised an additional $50m in venture funding.
Backers include Sequoia Capital, Norwest Venture Partners, Goldman Sachs, Juniper Networks, Silicon Valley Bank, and others.
The company intends to use the capital to continue to expand internationally and advance technology, as well as to scale operations.
Led by Dave DeWalt, chairman and CEO, FireEye provides a signature-less detection engine and threat protection platform designed to stop next-generation threats, such as zero-day and APT attacks, that bypass traditional defenses and compromise over 95% of networks.
The company’s solutions are deployed in over 40 countries and more than 25% of the Fortune 100.
