Guided Interventions, LLC, a Cleveland-based medical device startup, has received a $250k investment from JumpStart Inc..
Led by CEO Dr. Matthew Pollman, Guided Interventions develops a a fractional flow reserve (FFR) guidewire that is designed to provide an effective way to obtain FFR measurements during coronary catheterization procedures. It is optimized for improved maneuverability and handling.
The company intends to use the capital to complete development and test an initial prototype in relevant animal models, as well as to launch and scale its operations in Northeast Ohio within 2013, especially by hiring engineers.
