ProjectSpeaker, an Ottawa, CA-based startup that develops a speaker management platform, has raised $100k in funding.
Backers include Tilia Quadrat GmbH and Stefan Gutsch.
The company intends to use the capital to develop its technology, to expand its marketing efforts and release an app for both iPhone and Android in the next few months.
Founded by CEO Pierre Bisaillon, ProjectSpeaker is a cloud-based (free) management tool that markets professional speakers to conference and event planners. Planners can create events and sessions, search complete speaker profiles, create shortlists and communicate directly with speakers or their agents. For speakers, the platform is by invitation only and the comapny has developed a Merit Points system which determines a speaker’s search ranking.
