The Trento RISE Association, in partnership with Trentino Sviluppo S.p.a., has launched TechPeaks, an accelerator program based in Trento, in the Italian Alps.
The program aims to create over a hundred new innovative companies in the ICT sector. To this end, it will provide hackers, designers, entrepreneurs with €25k non-equity funding, free lodging, food, office space, services, access to a network of world-class mentors, and visa for 6 months.
A call (read here in Italian) to select projects is scheduled to open on February 5, 2013 and close on April 5, 2013.
The program is divided in two stages:
– a first 6-month phase from May, 30 2013 to November, 30 2013;
– a second (optional) 12-month phase, from December, 1, 2013 to November, 30, 2014. In this stage, companies can receive up to €200k in funding to match an investment raised from private sources.
