Tongal, a Marina Del Rey, CA-basedĀ social content development platform, raised $15m in Series B funding from Insight Venture Partners.
The company intends to use the capital to expand sales and marketing efforts, build more community tools.
Founded in 2008 by CEO Rob Salvatore, President James DeJulio and Mark Burrell, Tongal provides a social platform for marketers to create video content via competitive challengesĀ executed by a community ofĀ skilled filmmakers.
The company’s platform manages the iterative ideation, storyboard, and production process, which can last less than eight weeks.
Customers includes top brands, which have used Tongal-produced videos across social media, mobile, broadband, and on television.
