Getable, a San Francisco, California-based provider of equipment rental reservations online, closed a $1.8m second financing.
Backers included Andreessen Horowitz, Founder Collective, Promus Ventures and Chris Sacca of Lowercase Capital.
The company intends to use the capital to hire engineers (read here) and develop the product.
Launched in 2010 by Tim Hyer, CEO, and Kevin Halter, VP of Business Development, Getable connects people with their favorite products on-demand, from trusted rental establishments. Customers span across tool rental, party rental, sporting rental and other rental establishments.
The company just unveiled a mobile construction rental application (for iPhone) which aims to establish a real-time connection between rental merchants and their customers.
Getable just added Mikeal Rogers as CTO.
