P4RC, Inc., a Culver City, CA-based social rewards network for mobile games, completed its Series A Funding.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company plans to use the funds to pursue strategic acquisitions as well as to expand into more games and onto more platforms.
The round was led by Jeffrey Lapin, former Chief Executive Officer of Atari and veteran of Take-Two Interactive Software and THQ, with participation from Siemer Ventures and Tech Coast Angels. In addition, Yuri Pikover, the former Chairman of 5square as well as Chairman and CEO of Access360 and co-founder and EVP of Xylan Corporation, joined the company’s Board of Directors. Jeffrey Lapin and Michael Pachter were added to the Board last month.
Founded in 2011 by Jason Seldon, CEO, P4RC operates a social rewards platform for mobile games that allows players to compete with their friends and win real prizes from sponsoring brands. It is available for iOS and Android.
The company just joined EvoNexus, the CommNexus incubator.
