According to TechCrunch (read here) Upverter, a Toronto, Ontario, Canada-based developer of a cloud-based hardware engineering platform, raised $650k in seed funding.
Backers included Christina Brodbeck (YouTube founding team member) and Adam Smith (Xobni co-founder).
CO-founded in 2010 by CEO Zak Homuth, CTO Stephen Hamer, and CIO Michael Woodworth, Upverter builds web-based electronic design tools for students, hobbyists and open source hardware OSHW circuit designers.
The company, which was also funded by YCombinator, is currently hiring (read here).
