According to multiple reports, Wedding Party, a Palo Alto, CA-based developer of a mobile app that collects photos from wedding guests to create shared albums, raised $1m in seed funding.
The round was co-led by NEA and Felicis Ventures, with participation from angel investors, including Pejman Nozad, Sam Ferdows, Merced Partners, Hamid Barkhordar, Darian Shirazi, Ullas Naik, Zeki Mokhtarzada and Haroon Mokhtarzada, Rich Chen, Kumar Malavalli, Mark Jung, Doug Pepper, and Chris Hobbs.
The company intends to use the capital to grow the team (read here) and add more functionalities to the app, which is currently available on iOS and Android.
Co-founded in 2012 by Ajay Kamat, Gordon McCreight, Himani Amoli and Dan Perez, Wedding Party provides users with an app to capture, collect and share wedding photos from guests in one place. The company recently partnered with mywedding.com to connect all notes and pictures captured on the app on mywedding’s website.
