Bloomfire, an Austin, Texas-based provider of a B2B knowledge-sharing platform, raised an additional $8m in financing.
Backers included founding investors Austin Ventures and Redpoint Ventures.
The company intends to use the capital to scale engineering, sales and marketing teams.
Founded in 2010 and led by Craig Malloy, CEO, Bloomfire provides a B2B knowledge sharing platform, which is designed to connect people with information and knowledge through multimedia content, real-time Q&A and social engagement.
The company’s approach to knowledge sharing encompasses creating and posting enduring content, searching and browsing relevant information, asking and answering critical questions; and finding and following experts.
Bloomfire has more than 200 paying customers and more than 65,000 users.
