Impression Technologies, a UK-based aluminium forming technology business based on intellectual property developed at Imperial College London, raised £0.5m in funding from Imperial Innovations Group plc (AIM: IVO)
The company intends to use the capital to develop its aluminium forming process, manufacture demonstration parts and develop a technical and commercial team.
Developed by Professor Lin of Imperial College London and Professor Dean of the University of Birmingham, the Hot Form Quench (HFQ) technology provides tools to produce lightweight, complex and structured aluminium components, also opening new possibilities to create new solutions for the automotive, aerospace and rail industries.
Led by CEO George Adam, Impression Technologies has been created to commercialize this technology and its associated know-how.
