Isis Parenting Inc., a Boston-based provider of prenatal and early parenting education, received $2.4m in new equity funding.
Backers include existing investors as well as a new strategic partner.
The company intends to use the proceeds to expand its presence into the Dallas and Atlanta markets, sign new hospital partnerships, grow the IsisWorks benefit program and amplify its innovative digital programs.
Founded ten years ago and led by Heather Coughlin, CEO, Isis Parenting offers prenatal and parenting classes on topics such as breastfeeding, sleep training, childbirth education and new parent groups led by experts, including lactation specialists, nurses and a staff of instructors and consultants.
Isis Parenting currently serves six Boston-area hospitals including Brigham & Women’s, Beth Israel Deaconess, Massachusetts General Hospital, Tufts Medical Center, South Shore Hospital and North Shore Medical Center. At four Boston-area parenting centers, the company also offers a selection of products including baby gear, car seats, strollers, breast pumps, nursing bras, etc.
