Life360, a San Francisco, CA-based location and communication app for families, received a strategic investment from BMW i Ventures, the venture capital arm of German car manufacturer, BMW Group.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed by BMW i Ventures acquired a minority stake in the company.
Commenting on the investment, Ulrich Quay, Managing Director of BMW I Ventures, said: “The strategic investment enables BMW and Life360 to explore different ways to co-operate together on innovative location-based and integrated services for families“.
Founded in 2008 by CEO Chris Hulls, Life360 leverages location-based technology to enable more than 30 million users to set up a private family network to see where their people are located, know when they need help and see where the nearest safety resources are at all times.
