Metrasens, a Great Malvern, UK-based technology company that manufactures detection products for security and healthcare markets, received a new investment of undisclosed amount.
Backers included Octopus Investments, which first invested into the company in 2009, and C5 Partners, a new investment company focused on the safety and security technologies sector.
Led by Dr Simon Goodyear, founder and CEO, Metrasens has designed a portable full body scan system, which is being used in prisons, police operations, police custody suites, embassies, hotels and other commercial venues worldwide. It also markets the Ferroguard® brand of MRI safety systems to protect patients, staff and equipment in MRI suites across the world.
The company also has offices in Lisle, Illinois, USA.
