Stitch Fix, a San Francisco, California-based personal shopping platform, closes a $4.75m Series A funding.
The round was led by Baseline Ventures and Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from Western Technology Investment.
The company intends to use the funding to extend its offerings of retail tools, and scale the business by increasing inventory and logistical components.
Founded in 2011 and led by Katrina Lake, Founder and CEO, Stitch has developed a suite of proprietary tools and services used by the team to physically deliver personal styling to more than 10,000 clients across the United States. The company has created a retail intelligence approach to closets comprised of data analytics and algorithms that recognize and match personal aspects of each client to specific aspects of clothing items and fashion trends.
Stitch Fix works with more than 200 contemporary women’s fashion brands.
