Tangentix, a UK-based Sheffield, UK-based startup that is exploring the use of 3D graphics compression, raised $2.1m in funding.
Backers included EV Group, RisingStars Growth Fund II, ParkWalk Advisors, Finance Yorkshire Funds (Seedcorn and Equity).
The company, which has raised $3.1m to date, intends to use the capital to continue to develop its platform and hire engineers.
Founded in 2009 and led by CEO Edward French, Tangentix has been established to commercialize a technology designed to handle 3D graphic models, which has the potential to improve and enhance the graphics of video games and movies.
