Bark & Co., a NYC-based provider of a monthly subscription service for dog products, raised $5m in financing.
The round was led by RRE with participation from existing investors Resolute VC, Lerer Ventures, Polaris Ventures, 500 Startups, Bertelsmann and Vast Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Stuart Ellman of RRE joined the company’s board of directors.
The company intends to use the capital to expand the current business, and develop new products, which will be released in the coming months.
Led by Matt Meeker, Henrik Werdelin, and Carly Strife, Bark & Co. offers BarkBox, a subscription monthly box of dog products and is developing BarkPost, a dog-focused news site, and BarkCare, a concierge vet service for dogs.
