Kickstart Seed Fund, a Salt Lake City, UT-based seed fund, closed its second fund at $26m.
Fund II will focus on sourcing, syndicating and assisting seed-stage venture capital investments in Utah and surrounding states.
Kickstart Founder and Managing Director is Gavin Christensen. In addition, Former Skullcandy VP of Global Business Development, Clarke Miyasaki, joined Kickstart as Managing Partner. vSpring/Signal Peak Former Director of Finance, Alex Soffe, was named CFO.
Kickstart has invested in 24 companies to date, including Needle, Ecoscraps, Fuze Network, and Dropship Commerce, and recently experienced two exits with Panoptic Security in November of 2012 and GroSocial in January of 2013.
