Sendmebox.ru, a Rostov-on-Don, Russia-based startup that operates a platform for Russian customers shopping on foreign web sites, raised $300k in funding.
Backers included the Moscow Seed Fund, which invested $200k and angel investor Andrei Golovin, which invested $100k.
The company intends to use the funds to launch the platform, starting with the US, and then including Europe and China.
Led by co-founder and CEO Stanislav Meshcheryakov, Sendmebox.ru will run a marketplice for international shopping, which will feature price comparison tools, search functions and user reviews.
