Spondo, a Melbourne, Australia-based social broadcasting startup, raised AU$1m (approximately US$1.03m) in funding.
Backers were not named.
The company intends to use the funds to grow globally, including opening an office in Los Angeles, invest in larger content offerings, hire additional staff and increase marketing efforts, especially in the digital realm.
Led by CEO & Director Chris Adams and Board Chairman Henry Pinskier, Spondo provides a syndication platform through which retailers can sell and stream video, audio or other digital content on any Facebook page, website or blog.
The company is owned by holding company RivusTV Limited.
