BloomReach Acquires ShopLogic

BloomReach, a Mountain View, Calif.-based provider of big-data marketing applications, acqui-hired the co-founders of ShopLogic, a promotions management platform company.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

According to a note, ShopLogic’s CEO Kevin Chan and CTO Dennis Maskevich will join BloomReach’s product and engineering teams to build, expand and upgrade its product offerings.

Originally launched with seed funding from venture capital firm Data Collective and AngelPad, ShopLogic will continue to provides customers with its platform during a transition period independently of BloomReach, but no further sales or marketing will take place.

Backed by Bain Capital Ventures, NEA, and Lightspeed Ventures, BloomReach leverages its signature technology, the Web Relevance Engine (WRE), which analyzes consumer interactions across billions of pages and incorporates machine learning to predict demand and deliver relevant content such as enhanced landing pages, intuitive alternative navigation or social trends, to offer two big data marketing applications:
– BloomSearch for natural search customer acquisition, and
– BloomLift to increase advertising ROI.
