London, UK-based Bridges Ventures and Big Society Capital recently launched the Bridges Social Impact Bond Fund.
Backers included the same Big Society Capital, the Bridges Social Entrepreneurs Fund, Omidyar Network and Panahpur.
The £14m fund will invest in charities and social enterprises to deliver programmes designed to improve social outcomes in areas such as education, employment, housing and care for vulnerable young people.
The vehicle will be managed by Bridges Ventures, which is led by Antony Ross, Partner and Head of Social Sector, Funds.
