Cloudscaling, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of an “elastic” cloud platform, closed a $10m Series B funding.
Backers included existing investor Trinity Ventures and new investors Juniper Networks, through its Junos Innovation Fund, and Seagate.
Led by Michael Grant, CEO, and Randy Bias, CTO, Cloudscaling provides Open Cloud System (OCS), an advanced OpenStack-powered cloud infrastructure system designed to meet the requirements of dynamic applications, and deployable in the customer’s data center under the IT team’s control.
Customers include LivingSocial, EVault, Ubisoft and DataFort.
In April, the company released Open Cloud System 2.5. It also announced the partnership with Juniper to integrate Juniper’s virtual network control (VNC) technology, JunosV Contrail, into Open Cloud System (OCS) and joined the Seagate Cloud Builder Alliance Partner program.
