IT-Ernity, a Zwolle, Netherlands-based provider of business critical managed services and shared hosting for SMEs, received a private equity investment of undisclosed amount.
Equity backers included GMT Communications Partners, Veronis Suhler Stevenson and the company’s management (which acquired the majority shareholding from Nedvest Capital) while ING and ABN-AMRO provided debt financing. Stefan Franssen, Partner at GMT, and Morgan Callagy, Managing Director at VSS, will join the company’s board, following the transaction.
The company intends to use the proceeds to continue to grow.
Founded in 2002 by managing director Sebastiaan de Koning and R&D manager Tom Pfeifer, IT-Ernity offers a catalogue of standardized managed solutions, including system administration, protection, security, application management and other outsourcing services.
Since 2008, the company has made fourteen acquisitions, strengthening its existing customer base and services portfolio.
